Copilot for Microsoft 365 has been available to SMBs since mid January. We have received lots of questions about what is and isn’t possible with the product.

Here’s some of your questions answered.

Oui, French is supported along with several other languages in prompts and responses. Here’s the latest on languages support for Copilot for M365.

According to Microsoft, prompts, responses, and data accessed through Microsoft Graph are not used to train foundation LLMs, including those used by Copilot. Microsoft doesn’t “train” on your tenant data. See a detailed response.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 can only be used in the tenant where licensed and recorded. There is no workaround for this at the moment.

No. Copilot can only access M365 Apps, including documents, emails and Teams Meetings. If you want to use AV files, you can use Azure Open AI/Cognitive Speech to Text services to get the transcription file. You will have to either put the transcript into a Word document, where Copilot for M365 can use it or build your own Copilot using Copilot Studio to interrogate.

This is currently not supported but is a priority item on the Copilot roadmap (no ETA yet).

Copilot in Word can help draft your document, you still need to vet the information and layout of the contents.

According to Microsoft, there are no plans at the moment to add monthly commitment.

At this stage Microsoft do not have trial offers available for Copilot for Microsoft 365.

You can purchase it only from a Microsoft Partner like Boost IT. 

The cost per license is $600 incl. GST per annum. Microsoft has not offered it on monthly subscriptions.
